The Story of CR Srikanth

I’m an Indian composer and the creator of VS Pop, a music genre that blends orchestral composition, ambient textures, and contemporary electronic production into emotionally expressive, cinematic soundscapes. My musical foundation is rooted in Western classical traditions as well as Carnatic and Hindustani music, shaping a sound that feels modern while retaining classical depth and structure.

Over the years, I’ve composed more than 250 original works — including orchestral and chamber pieces cataloged under opus numbers. My catalog spans orchestral, instrumental, and electronic releases, all unified by the VS Pop genre’s focus on melody, atmosphere, and emotional storytelling.

VS Pop™ is the official brand identity under which this genre is released and represented. Through VS Pop Records LLP, I independently produce and distribute my music while building a platform for future projects and collaborations that align with the VS Pop vision.

My work has received airplay across more than 40 NACC-reporting college radio stations, over 100 Mediabase FM spins, and more than 100,000 global in-store music plays. I’ve also completed coursework in Film and TV Scoring from Berklee College of Music, which continues to shape my approach to composing music for visual media.

I remain focused on developing VS Pop as both a genre and a creative ecosystem — evolving its sound while staying rooted in emotion, tradition, and modern production.

    In addition to my compositions, I have been developing a proprietary AI music composition software that integrates deep learning with traditional compositional techniques. This tool allows composers to generate music in real-time, opening new avenues for creative exploration across genres

    CR-Counter is a Streamlit-based web app for generating counterpoint-based musical scores in multiple styles and species.
    It now supports MusicXML, MIDI export, and inline audio previews (basic synthesized sound demos).
    The app can generate arrangements with lead, counterpoint, bass, and pad roles, mapped to user-selected instruments.
